Licensed Professional Counselor in Roswell, Georgia
I work with teens, young adults, and adults who are often holding it together on the outside while feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck on the inside. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable, and deeply self-aware yet spend a lot of time overthinking or striving for perfection.
My approach to therapy is calm, collaborative, and grounded in clinical experience and evidenced-based practice. I have specialized training in working with anxiety, eating disorders, perfectionism, and overcontrol. I’m especially attuned to working with clients who are hard on themselves, have learned to push through hard feelings, or tend to rely on control as a way to cope.
In our work together, we will slow things down so we can understand the patterns that have formed and begin to make room for self-compassion and flexibility. My goal is to meet you where you are in your journey… whether you’re a teen dealing with school and social pressures, a college student figuring out life away from home, or an adult feeling exhausted from years of self-criticism and self-doubt.
“The beauty of who you are is not where you are perfect. It is where you are brave.”
– Cleo Wade
I’m drawn to this work because I get it… I know what it’s like to be in your head and constantly striving for more only to find the goalpost keeps moving. I bring both professional training and lived experience into my work, creating an environment that is relational, supportive, and practical.
I chose the name Kind Heart for my practice because I believe that kindness, especially towards yourself, is at the heart of healing.
