“I don’t know why this feels so hard… nothing is technically wrong.”

This is something I often hear from clients who are doing their best but for some reason are still feeling overwhelmed or burnt out.

If this resonates with you - you are not alone and it makes sense.

It can look like you’re doing okay on the outside but inside feel like you are
falling behind or can barely keep up.

It might show in ways like:

✧ Lying in bed at night and feeling like your thoughts won’t slow down
✧ Replaying conversations and wondering if you said the wrong thing
✧ Thoughts about food, exercise, or your body feel loud and constant
✧ You’re tired from trying to be “fine” all the time
✧ No matter how hard you try, it still feels like it’s not enough

“You’re allowed to take your time. You’re not meant to
rush your way through life.”

Chelyan, therapist for teens and adults in Georgia

I’m Chelyan, and I’m so glad you’re here.

I work with teens and adults who are thoughtful, capable, and often very hard on themselves. My approach is steady and collaborative, focused on slowing things down enough to understand what is happening under the surface.

In your life, it might show up as anxiety, overthinking, perfectionism, or a complicated relationship with food or body image. It can also feel like burnout, emotional numbness, or depression.

I have advanced training in approaches like RO-DBT, CBT, and compassion-focused therapy, which I use flexibly to support meaningful, sustainable change. I bring years of clinical experience and ongoing training to this work, with a particular emphasis on anxiety, perfectionism, and eating disorder recovery.

How We Can Work Together

You Might Be Looking for Support Around…

  • Support for constant worrying, racing thoughts, difficulty relaxing, or feeling on edge. This can show up with school, work, relationships, or everyday decision making and can feel exhausting over time.

    Adult therapy

  • Low mood, loss of motivation, emotional numbness, or feeling disconnected after pushing yourself for a long time. Many clients notice they feel depressed and it’s often closely tied to chronic stress, perfectionism, or burnout.

    Adult therapy

  • Support for managing big emotions, feeling easily overwhelmed, shutting down, or not knowing how to cope when emotions feel intense. Therapy focuses on building awareness, flexibility, and helpful ways of coping.

  • Support for low self-esteem, comparison, and feeling not quite good enough, often connected to anxiety or perfectionism.

  • A supportive space for teens navigating academic pressure, social stress, sports or extracurricular pressure, emotional overwhelm, and the challenges of growing up in a high pressure environment.

    Teen anxiety & depression therapy

  • Compassionate, evidence-informed support for concerns around food, body image, control, and recovery. This may include restrictive eating, bingeing, overexercising, or feeling stuck in rigid patterns around food and your body.

Eating disorder & disordered eating support
Body image therapy for teens and adults

  • Obsessive thoughts, mental checking, reassurance-seeking, and rigid rules can be incredibly exhausting and often overlap with perfectionism, anxiety, or control around food and body image.

I work with teens and adults who experience OCD or obsessive thinking patterns, particularly when these show up internally through rumination, mental checking, or constant self-monitoring.

  • My work is grounded in a neuro-affirming approach that honors how each person’s brain and nervous system are wired. I work with many clients who have co-occurring diagnoses such as ADHD, autism, OCD, and learning differences, as well as those who identify as highly sensitive or perfectionistic.

Rather than trying to “fix” symptoms, we focus on understanding patterns with compassion and building support strategies that work for you.

  • Absolutely. When I work with clients under 18, I include parents or caregivers as part of the process in a supportive way. I believe therapy works best when teens have privacy to open up and parents feel connected to the process. We’ll find the right balance together as it looks a little different for every family.
